Before I review this beer I feel like sharing that last night I went to see the Tiger Bay Brawlers in a roller derby in Newport Centre. Roller derby might be my new favourite sport. I even bought a t-shirt.
Today I feel I've earnt this beer, as I've spent the best part of 2 hours cleaning the flat and making way for the inevitable Christmas tree (woo!).
Todays beer is Pen-lon Chocolate Stout, another fine beverage from the homeland.
Surprisingly it tastes like chocolate. There is a heavy flavour of roasted caramel and a light taste of roasted malt - with quite a dry finish. Great smell of coffee and chocolate.
I'm not a big stout drinker and there are a few in the calendar this year. Hopefully they can all be as scrumdiddlyumptious as this one.
