The Beer Advent Calendar 2011 - December 6th

I'll just jump straight to the beer today - Dominos pizza is on the way (currently being baked, according to the website) and I'm already feeling like a fat bastard.

Todays beer is a Halloween beer I picked up and decided to include in the calendar.
Shepherd Neame Spooks Ale.

It's a very autumnal beer, dark in colour, fruity in flavour with a nice roasted caramel finish.  If it were on tap I imagine it'd be outstanding - the bottled ale has quite a bit of carbonation and a dry finish.
It's not outstanding, but very enjoyable. If I see it next year I will try and pick it up again.
